Hey Ya'll! Well, we have been very busy...working on the house, birthday parties, yard work, travel...wow! But here are some pictures of what we have been doing. :) Not in any special order or anything, just however my brain reminded me. ("Oh! We DID do that, didn't we??? I forgot about that!") :)
As we get more updates done, they will mysteriously appear on the blog in "parts". So there IS more coming (ya'll are jumping up and down for joy, I know...) :)
Hope you enjoy...

October/November Miller Visit...
In the RV.....
"Heeeelloooo!"
The three of us sat in the back of the RV, calling voters in support of Amendment 2, Florida's marriage amendment. We are pleased to say that it passed!!! :)
(Amanda and the Stricklen girls were at home doing the same thing...)
We also made our cheery selves known by friendly waves and smiles.
We had some interesting fellow travellers....
Rose singing with all her might, as Em drifts off to sleep
Sarah working on a 1860's dress she was going to "sell"
(explanation coming later...)
Grace crochetting a snood
A Sidetrip.....
A natural bridge in Alabama.
Truly a lovely and amazing result of the Flood!

~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
Someone had inscribed the year "1891" on this rock. Cool huh?
Rose was VERY excited to discover so many evidences of Noah's Flood!!!
A Reenactment in Alabama.....
Robin Hood and Little John meet...
They duel....
And if he had really fallen, that water was COLD!!!
The sign said "200 Billion Years Ago..."
We knew better....
At The Millers...

Aunt Katie made some wonderful cinnamon rolls! :)
They need plenty of wood for those wood stoves, and Matt
is going to make sure they have it!

This interesting look was dubbed Daniel's "Bob Hope Sneer" by Grace.
Matthew of course joined in the act!
Grace making artistic use of God's creation
Happy Cousins
RG had some trouble with the fire at one point.
Here, he is quite exasperated with the lighter!
He also had no kindling, so with a kitchen
knife and a tool, he set to work!
(We had some interesting late nights, with kids
in one cabin, moms and babies in the other,
and Gmama and Gdaddy in the RV!!!)
Pete coming back from hunting.
He was not successful.
:'(

One of the late nights was livened up with dutch blitz.

"Hey there!!!"
"My parents participated in the interplanetary adoption program!"
(Grandmama's joke)
Breakfast...
Emma and her "gun"
She was VERY disturbed when someone mistook her gun
for a stick (However did that happen??) and threw it outside.
The unfortunate thief was sent outside to fetch it back immediately.

The newest game when we arrived was staying on the
ladder without any support. Here is Matthew demonstrating.
We all watched the election results
over the internet. There were many tears,
prayers, and discussions that night.
May God have mercy on us, and give His people
the strength of the Lord during the next 4 years!!!
Obama's IN???
"I can't believe Obama got in!"
And RG and Grace (the sarcastic ones) try to add some humor
into the otherwise...not humorous situation.
We also had smores. At this point, apparently
without the fire, chocolate, or graham crackers...
Daniel enjoyed them--sucking the middles out.
Another late night. Playing K.E.M.P.S.

It is so great to see how the Millers are doing. Thanks for sharing pictures of your visit with them. I guess that is the only way any of us will ever know how they are doing ; )

"We were eating bread. The butter isn't just sitting there for a midnight snack..."
Really??? You mean y'all don't like to just eat butter by the spoonful? ;)
Loved all the pics. :)
That amendment 2 script is all too familiar..
My reaction was the same as y'alls on election night. The Lord knows what He is doing, that is for sure. I must say that secession is looking better all the time! :D
love,
whatevermynameisthisweek
it is really nice to see how you guys and the millers are doing! it is crazy how much you all have changed since I last saw you! (though it has been a long time, unfortunately)hope it will not be too much longer!
Josh
What a fun trip! I am sure Aunt Katie will wring your neck for some of those pictures. Especially the one of Daniel with the marshmallows :) Kitty, your comments are always so funny! The pictures of Rachel, Rosie and Emma were so pretty. Did the little chick survive? (the one Emma had with Rose and Rachel). Thanks for sharing.
Love you!
Aunt Molly
Looks/sounds like you all had a great time! Thanks for sharing the pictures . . .
Looks like you all had fun, I always love spending time with family. :)
One thing that might make you traveling more enjoyable next time would be a jet RV. LOL My sister saw a thing on TV and told us about it, they sound quite cool but a little on the expensive side. :)
We had a wonderful time, and the Millers are doing great. :) Thanks for the comments, ya'll. :)
Mrs. Franklin, yes, if the MILLERS WOULD EVER UPDATE THEIR BLOG (ahem, RG :P) we could all be more assured that they are doing well. :)
WhateverMyName: :) No, Amanda, we don't eat butter by the spoonful (the Toast King might though-next time you talk to him you should ask him. :P) And yes, I would go with seccession!! :)
Hey Josh! Great to hear from you! Yea it's been a while. All of us have changed since we were all down here playing jailbreak, taking accidental 20 mile bike rides, and staying up till 3 in the morning (want another cup of coffee Mr. Moore?). Weird how long ago that was! Hopefully we can see all ya'll again before too long. :)
Aunt Molly, I'm still alive. :P Daniel was enjoying his marshmellows. :) I'm glad you find me amusing. :) Sarah thinks I'm nuts...(she may not be far off. :D) Sarah took the pictures of Rosie and Rachel. They are sweet aren't they?
Amanda #2: Yes! It was VERY nice to have the rv! But that other thing you're talking about might be out of our class. ;)
Thanks for all the comments ya'll. :)
Aughhhh! Please remind me to make sure my children have on decent shirts when the camera is out. Unfortunately, the boys all seemed to be wearing scroungy work t-shirts every time a picture was taken, looking like they just stepped out of 1930's Appalachia (or, more appropriately, Ozarks). Rachel was the only one who looked like she had seen a bathtub recently.
It's no fair, because when people come to visit, they only pack decent clothes, but my kids just keep on wearing their good OLD favorites, thus the blackmail-worthy pictures!
Enough of that. The rest of y'all will just have to come visit to see that my children do clean up every now and then!
Love,
Aunt Katie
