Working on The House And Yard.
Mama and one of her best friends - - BLEACH!!!
Mama going after Sarah (Joking of course) after Sarah makes a smart remark...
*Sigh* Sarah and her big mouth!
Going through things we haven't seen in a very long time!
This was one big spider that came after me! But, since I love this kind of spider, instead of being smashed or finished by some other means, he was allowed to pose for a picture.
Emma enjoying watching everyone else work.

Finding my long-lost guitar pick. A TREASURE!!!!!!! :)
We discover another of Grace's creative but never finished artistic works.
(It was Indian bead work.)

"Raft! Raft!"
Emma is very persistant about keeping her raft inflated.
Wow...all the stuff we drug out of the laundry room before we organized it.
"Why should we organize it that way? It makes more sense..."
One of the many discussions between several bossy girls.

Pete our electrical man.
We are making progress!!
Our building materials - all organized and pretty!
The happy moving crew - before tile
"Pete, it'll fall!"
"Naw...it'll be fine!"
(There is a long story behind this one...and it ended with an "OOPS")
Daddy inspects the flooring

"Mr. Special" is happy.
The cement board is down
And Daddy is showing us how to tile.
Um.....

Happy shirt number one
Happy shirt number two.
We had fun. :)

Discher Girls' Painting Crew
"I'm going to get you!"
"NO!!!!"
"Kitty! Don't you DARE!"
At this point, Sarah tripped since she didn't have eyes in the back of her head.
Peace.
Or...maybe not.
Papa doing the grout.
Papa finishing the shelving

Slowly fading away...
"THUD"
(Taps...) (This is the "opossum pose")
A flower for the fallen
We did a better pose than Amanda (nah nah nah nah nah)
A happy caterpillar killer.
Sarah and Em picking Sarah's garden

Another happy caterpillar killer.
One of the doomed...
Water - a clear lifegiving substance, a liquid often falling from the sky as rain, and sometimes from a little man-made metal or plastic tool called a sprinkler. This picture is a working model of the latter, taken at the Discher garden.
GREENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet workers!
And another sweet cheerful worker.
As we were painting, we had a spill...oops...
And of course I couldn't possibly work without good ol' Gospel 90.3! :)
The finished, painted shelves!
Inside, we have been decluttering as well...
"Empty shelves and empty wa--lls...Empty boxes for the packing....Empty shelves and empty wa--lls, where our things will never go..." (dramatic music playing...)
(Yea, it was a sorry take off from Les Miserables' Empty chairs and Empty Tables, but I tried....)
So ends Part 2 of...
WHAT HAVE THE DISCHERS BEEN UP TO???

....998 thou shalt not covet thy niece's garden. 999 thou shalt not covet thy niece's garden. 1000 thou shalt not covet thy niece's garden. I wonder if someone is having to write lines about not coveting Mr. Special's very convincing opossum pose? Hmmm scratch that thought... 1001 thou shalt not covet thy niece's garden...
Yes, Aunt Ashley! Those greens are sure calling my name too!! (And they've been good! :) But the squash can stay where it is :->)
Thanks, Mrs. Stevens and Grandmama. The house is coming along. :) Thanks for the encouraging comments. :) :)
Yes ma'am, Mrs. Pollock! The whips had absolutely nothing to do with the post, but I liked the picture, so up it went. :) And that spider startled me when I found it on my arm, but those are my fav. kind of spiders, and I haven't been bitten yet. :) Sarah said the same thing when she saw the picture. :)
Uncle Hans: Yes sir, she has worked hard on that garden. :) And she learned a whole ton of what she knows from (hm....who could it be??? Someone who spent a lot of time working on a garden, who would answer all her questions, and so on....) Oh! I know! It was this wonderful Uncle from Canada (I think his name was Hans) who paved the way for a garden on this property. :)
Wow! Impressive progress! It looks like y'all are really moving along on all the remodeling .I would love to see a finished pic of the laundry room and back porch! Also, some pics of the yard since I can't see it in person!
Love,
Aunt Katie
