Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

You might find...

On any given day at the Dischers, you might find...

We are just beginning our devotions.

So you might hear phrases such as...

"What hath God done for you?"
"God hath made me, He keepeth me, and He can save me."

"What is repentance?"
"Repentance is the grace of the Spirit, whereby I loathe my sins and myself for them and confess them before the Lord for the pardon of them and for grace to serve Him in newness of life."

You might just hear...
Peter, as he reads Kipling's "If"

Roman's chapter 8 may be resounding through the house!
"Noor deaf, noor life, noor aindsels, noor pwince powitties..."
Faith cometh by hearing!
It is amazing how Emma picks up on the good stuff!

Or you might find us eating breakfast.
Often...waffles(Someone must have thought that Daddy needed some cheering up, as his mug constantly reminds him that he is 50!)

You might find a freshly baked cupcake being served to you!

Or you might find bread rising
(Rye, in this case)

And if you hang around long enough, you might just get a warm piece served up!

You might find a sweet 11 year old surprising her Daddy with a homemade pie!
I can't say that you would get a piece of THAT though :)

You might try to find someone hiding "in camouflage"

Or 3 little sisters reading books together

If you are really quick, you might just catch the Dischers being quite silly!

You may find...
that Uncle Chris has stopped by for a little coffee and conversation

But you might want to keep your distance if you find...

A patient older sister teaching the younger ones the art of mud play!

You may find that they enjoy it!

They really enjoy it!

Really really enjoy it!
If you come on just the right day, you might just find...
"The King" -- all the way from Arkansas

A visitor from afar bearing "gifts"

Cousins reunited

Short cousins and tall cousins!

If you followed Emma Jane around, you might just find her...
Hoarding her passies
(pretty pitiful, I know. Can you tell she's # 7? Would we have ever let number 1 or 2 get away with this?)

Walking her babies
(and warning them, "Don't Whine!")
Posing for a sister
Or playing a horse story contentedly

Being a RASCAL with her cousin!
"The Little Chimney Sweeps!"

Or putting her babies down to nap

Having some Daddy time

Or getting her bath
She cleans up real good!
Or she might just take a trip to Sarah's beauty shop right before bed!

You might find that Grandmama or Grandaddy have stopped by, as they often do

A little stimulating conversation

Always a welcome and beautiful face!

You might find someone pretty desperate to finish a chapter

Or strangely excited about mopping?

Or maybe really excited about "going to check the mail"

You might find a lovely young lady
(Where did the years go?)

Or another lovely young lady laughing at her Daddy's jokes
(Shoehorn)

You might find...

Lemon blossoms decorating delightfully decadent desserts

Or perhaps you would find some Orange Blossom "art"

If you wandered in the yard, you could find a precious young lady blossoming right along with the orange blossoms!
On certain dark and moonlit nights, you may even find...

FIRE!

You might find one making an "unusual" friend

Or one sincerely studying the Word

And then, you may find one TRYING to sincerely study the Word, while fending off that camera!
You might find the youngest and the oldest "snuggling"

Or even "The Father and The Mother" snuggling!

You could find sisters loving each other's company!
and you might find little cousins...

and friends!

laughing and having fun!

You might find...

The Dischers, fervently working their minds,
only at last to sadly find
They had been duped into solving a pointless clue
...victims of yet another prank by you know who!

At the end of the day, you might find
The Father reading the Word, while his children listen as they...

Embroider

Patch jeans
Patch a WELL WORN favorite work skirt!

Hold a baby sister

or crochet

And just before bed you might find...

A game of arm wrestling, where The Father proves he's still got it!

Or you may find "Pooh" being read to "the little brother"

And lastly, you could find a little princess in pink just before she gives everyone her sweet goodnight kisses!

Certainly you will find the good Lord watching over us through the night!
Guten Nacht!

Hello you guys. Nice pics. Don't know anyone in them, but I still like looking at pics of a loving family. BTW what happened to the contest and give-aways that used to be on this blog. Did your rich relative and corporate sponsors go bankrupt. May the bribery to gain viewrs by giving out prizes finally paid off. I went to a blog link on this site and found out catfish was giving out a $10,000 cash prize, and he didn't need rich relatives or corp sponsor give-away or ads. Anyway nice blog, you guys have a long way to go to catch up to catfish's blog

What a cozy post. I loved the many pics. Don't feel too bad about Miss Cutie Pie, #7, with her two pacies, when my 1st had 5. Now THAT'S pitiful!!

I loved the pic of Emma in the mud and in the fireplace and in the curlers and reading with daddy and well, you get the idea, I always love the pictures of Emma. She's too cute and sweet.

Love Always,
Mrs. P (Tina)

Discher family,
Nice post. Really enjoyed the pics.I see anonymous posted about my blog. Thanks for the kind words. I would agree this is a nice blog, but doesn't hold a candle to my blog www.haulinheavy.blogspot.com. I would also like to point as has mr. anonymous, that we dont have corporate ads or sponsorships on my blog. We also dont have rich relatives and coporate sponsored give-aways to bribe people into viewing my blog. Every give away is from MY own pocket, because I care. Using someone elses money to promote a blog is like using someone else money to tithe with. Our blogs do have one thing in common. You might find a picture of a rabbit amoung carrots in both our blogs. However the picture of a rabbit amoung carrots on my blog. will be of his skinless body amoung carrots FROM the garden. He will have been harvested by a single shot to the heart from a 22 mag, from one of my sons. The rabbit would have left behind 11 little rabbits to fend for themselves in the cold lonely wet woods(not bush,eh). Any way keep up the good work. Yall are putting up a good effort. Kitty, sarah, and grace yall are very creative young ladies. If you need some advice on your blog, just let me know and will be glad to help. All you have to do is swallow yalls pride and admit I have a better blog. Then I will be glad and help.

uncle catfish

ps yall can stop crying now. yall know im just kidding. I will be posting a contest on my blog this weekend. There will be another chance to win a $10,000 cash grand prize or A john deere tractor your choice. No John Deere is not a sponsor.

Robert -- you are nuts!! I did put a very complimentary post about you, son-in-law, on my blog (www.clearlyseenfamily.blogspot.com) (heavily sponsored by "Natur-all Best Herbs" and "Cardboard Shingle Bread Company") but I am mulling over taking it down and replacing it with one about you taking cake-decorating classes and macrame classes. Hmmm . . .

Ooooh, Mr. Miller, we didn't realize how talented you really were!! Very interesting. Very, very interesting :) Thank you Mrs. Frodge.

The cake decorating class was a blast. I would put any of your grand children and you for that matter to shame on baking a cake or any other cooking. I just had to call my wife to see what macrame was. never heard of it. I think you might be mixing it up with cross stitch. yes when i was 10 i got bored on a trip to LA to see an uncle. My granny who liked cross stitch bought me a cross stitch kit on the trip. she asked if i would do it for her. so i did. ihave to admit it was kinda fun. it was better than looking out the window at nothing. so if you are going to try to embarrass me. use something that will embarass me. like the time i felt amish. katie is affraid people wont read this in the tone i wrote it in. i was laughing the whole time is was typing. btw mrs pollock, yes i am very very talented. those that know me are amazed all the time of my many many talents. one of my many talents is blogging. what else can i say i scored 190 on an IQ test.FYI thats genius level.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit our little blog. We do our best. Not anything like the blog of "Catfish", we know. We aren't cross-country jet setters like he is, so we can't possibly hope to compete with his amazing adventures and legendary stories, but we hope that you have found some pleasure in reading about our simple life.

We don't know if there will be any more contests, since, unlike "Catfish" all of our contests were initiated by outside sources. The Country Cousins may just sponsor another CD giveaway sometime. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to win one!

Erica and Esther! I am getting the feeling that there are a lot of "Secret Dishwasher/Readers" out there :) Funny!

Aww...thanks, Mrs. P I can't say she ever had 5 at once, so , yeah that IS reassuring, since #1 turned out great :) Glad you like the post! Thanks for the sweet words.

Well, Mama. The Cat's out of the bag now. I forgot about Robert's cake decorating days! Now we know who to call on the next occasion. IF he can take time away from that awesome blog of his.

Well, Uncle Robert, you have kept us in stitches. I notice that the grammer and punctuation in the last 2 comments suspicously resembles that of "Anonymous". Could he be rubbing off on you?

We love your blog and have had a great time keeping up with you! Too bad we missed out on the big prize. Oh well, guess you can't win them all!

You just keep on making your blog great, with its exciting, varied, and banner-free style, and well... we'll just keep plugging along in our own simple way with ours. Out of the thousands of blogs out there, there are surely no 2 alike.

Love,
"The Mother"
