Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Kye Harris - March 22, 1927 - October 25, 2007

One of the King's own men is now forever in the courts of his Master. My precious grandfather spent his life in service to the King of Kings.
His prayer was that the Lord would send him where others did not want to go and that he would do what others did not want to do. A powerful teacher of the Word, with a Doctorate degree in Education, he spent years speaking at old fashioned camp meetings and conferences alike. He and my godly grandmother went on to "jump start" over 70 Christian schools and colleges.
His was a heroic record as a young marine in World War II. So desperate was he to fight for his country that he entered at the age of 15. He later came to know the Lord in an amazing Foxhole conversion. He was never the same after the Lord got a hold of his life.
He has left a godly legacy to 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. I cannot express my gratefulness for that heritage. To read more see my mother's blog. http://clearlyseenfamily.blogspot.com/2007/10/safe-in-arms-of-jesus.html
I love you, Grandaddy

OFF TO MIAMI

"The Father's" brother from Canada was in Miami. He was flying to Peru and had a 4 hour layover. So, we took a trip down to Miami for a visit! It was so good to see Uncle Hans!

First a haircut - courtesy of Sarah's salon (NOT to be confused with Sally's!!!)

We just visited in the airport. Some of us had that wonderful, distinctive Miami Cuban food. (Some of us had Burger King.)

Emma had never seen Uncle Hans. She warmed right up to him!

Kitty found this at Cracker Barrel. It was love at first sight.
