One of the King's own men is now forever in the courts of his Master. My precious grandfather spent his life in service to the King of Kings.
His prayer was that the Lord would send him where others did not want to go and that he would do what others did not want to do. A powerful teacher of the Word, with a Doctorate degree in Education, he spent years speaking at old fashioned camp meetings and conferences alike. He and my godly grandmother went on to "jump start" over 70 Christian schools and colleges.
His was a heroic record as a young marine in World War II. So desperate was he to fight for his country that he entered at the age of 15. He later came to know the Lord in an amazing Foxhole conversion. He was never the same after the Lord got a hold of his life.
He has left a godly legacy to 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. I cannot express my gratefulness for that heritage. To read more see my mother's blog. http://clearlyseenfamily.blogspot.com/2007/10/safe-in-arms-of-jesus.html
I love you, Grandaddy
