A Safety Story

Once upon a time there was a little girl and a little boy. Their mama had made some nice fresh cookies for them to bring to their friend’s house! While they were going to their friend’s house, the little girl didn’t look both ways before she crossed the street!

Just as she began to cross the street, a green car came up the street! The little girl didn’t see the car and it crashed into her! Her brother came up to help her and lifted her and brought her to her mother. They all hurried to the hospital.

Thankfully, because the car wasn’t going very fast, all she had was a broken leg. She had to wait 6 weeks before she could walk again! It had been 6 weeks, so she could take another walk with her brother. Their mother made them some cookies and they started out to take their walk.

This time she looked both ways before she crossed the street!
