Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

A Walk...

On Sunday, Sarah, Grace, and I (Me, Kitty, Twitch, Kit-Kat, whatever...) went on a walk, just for fun, and of course had to bring the camera....
Grace and I
Grace enjoying God's beautiful creation! :)
Me in a tree...
Ooops...the camera was a little too far back
Here's how it went:
GRACE "Oooh! Wild grapes! I've always wanted to pick them!"
SARAH "OK! You get down, and I'll stand on you."
GRACE "I don't think this will work...what am I, a ladder?"
SARAH "Oh, C'mon! I've almost got it...."
SARAH "AAAAAAAAAA!!!"
GRACE "Ahhhhh...!"
Plan #1 had failed. So, if you at first you don't succeed, Try Try Again:
GRACE "Now let's try it my way. Let's just get the branch and pull"
SARAH "Ok, let's try it."
They both pulled, and reached until Sarah finally got one!
I think this one speaks for itself...
Grace, abandoned by her comrade, still at work.
"Hmmmm..."
Sarah's experiment...
Our well-travelled path.
Happy Trails, Folks!

I was wondering how those grapes tasted! Do they need to ripen yet? Of course, since the bad ole power company took down so many trees, there aren't nearly as many grape vines! Down in the Enchanted Forest there are still plenty of them. If they taste good, I am all for a grape-picking adventure!

ONE hot summer’s day a Fox was strolling through an orchard till he came to a bunch of Grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over a lofty branch. “Just the things to quench my thirst,” quoth he. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump, and just missed the bunch. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success. Again and again he tried after the tempting morsel, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: “I am sure they are sour.”

The fox obviously didn't have the ingenuity and determination displayed here, or he would have gotten atleast one grape :) But to be fair to the furry fellow, there was only one of him.

Too bad the he didn't get a taste, though, since he could have broke the tie. Now we are left with one obviously honest vote for sour, and it seems one maybe not quite so sure but I can make it look tasty vote for "Hmmmmm..." Is the photographer up for a taste test to break the suspense? :)

Grandmama - YES!!! If we can manage to get well before those wild grapes are gone...a grape picking adventure would be so nice!

Oh! Uncle Hans how we've missed your humor around here! Well, the suspense has been building and at last we have a verdict. The photographer...didn't taste one grape!!! Can you believe it? We will never know - unless someone is up for another wild grape picking venture!

The saga continues...
