Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Sweet Baby

I write this post with a heavy heart.
Although we know that God is sovereign, and we accept all He sends into our lives from His loving hand, we sometimes look to Him through our tears.
Yesterday we buried our little unborn baby. Thank you for those who have sent messages of encouragement. Your thoughts are precious to us.

Job 1:21 "...the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."
Eddie and Peter made this box to bury the baby in. Grace did the incsription and Peter burned it into the wood. This meant so much to me that they did this to honor our little child.
"Little Angel Baby was
A precious gift from God.
Only living 10 short weeks,
Then laid beneath the sod.
A loving family mourns for him,
Knowing God knows best.
He must have needed baby dear,
In His eternal rest.
I see baby in my mind's eye,
Running to and fro.
Playing with his little cousins,
Whom he's come to know.
I know he's happy with our Lord,
Sitting on His knee.
And I'm thankful for the time,
That he was here with me."

Sarah,
That is such a beautiful poem from your heart. Your precious baby will be missed just as ours that we lost is greatly missed. They are still a part of our family and we will never forget each one.
They are in the arms of our Lord and we will meet them some day :)
We don't understand why God gives for such a short time and takes away. It makes us appreciate life so much more. He is sovereign and we can trust Him.

Love,
Aunt Molly

Sarah, Your poem is so full of the thoughts and prayers of each one in your family. I'm so glad that we all are able to rest in the wonderful peace of our Heavenly Father, and we can have complete trust in His Sovereign will. The precious babies from each family that have not entered this world are truly in the presence of their Saviour right now...what an awe-inspiring thought! God bless you all, dear Discher family, and we will continue to lift you up to the King of Heaven.

Love,
Aunt Katie

Thank you for your precious comments and prayers. Thank you also to all those who expressed their sympathy privately.

God is so good to provide support and encouragement as well as His own sufficient grace.
