Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

The Little House by the side of the road...

"Let me live in the house on the side of the road and be a friend to man..."

This saying was cross stitched and hanging in our living room. Because our little house sat right by the side of the road in the middle of the country, many times God used us to be a blessing to those with car trouble, etc. We will miss our little house and those unique opportunities the Lord provided for us to be hospitable.

After living there for 12 years, we have sold our little house to a very nice couple with a little boy. We hope they will be as happy as we have been. Praise the Lord for His answer to prayer!

What a whirlwind! We had two weeks to finalize our Christmas gifts, (we all exchanged baskets of homemade goodies), get ready for Mary's big party :) get ready for a two week long trip to Missouri, and MOVE out of our house!

It was busy, but thanks to the help of our wonderful friends and family, we did it! We are in Missouri for the Christmas break, but will return to Florida, where we will stay with my parents until all the details are worked out. We should make our big move early Feb.

Most of our pictures are on the computer in Florida, so we will post more later, but until then...

THANK YOU Graves, Franklins, Terrie and Amanda, Pollock girls, Doolin boys, Stokes family (and Joe!), Stricklens, and of course Granddaddy and Grandmama for all those meals for hungry movers :)

We couldn't have made our deadline without ya'll!

Until later!
Mama

My, what a whirlwind of packing you had. Only 2 weeks to get it all done!

We are going to Florida in late February and were going to contact you all to see if you were up for a little visit. My nephew is getting married to a girl from Ocala.

On to some changes for the Dischers. I'm really happy for you all.

We will miss the precious family that lived in "the house by the side of the road" terribly.
But we are rejoicing with you as you move on to new things and a new life in Missouri!
Lots of wonderful memories made in that little house will always be in our hearts :)
Love you all!
