Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

The Mysterious Islands Movie Premiere...!

November 18, 2009: At 6:30 PM, hundreds of Christians gathered at the Channelside IMAX Theatre in Tampa FL, for the Premiere viewing of The Mysterious Islands.

"A recently released documentary challenges Charles Darwin on “Ground Zero” of evolution: the Galapagos Islands. Led by Vision Forum founder Doug Phillips, the expedition covers the territory and animals Darwin visited and studied nearly 200 years ago, but comes to a very different conclusion.
Majestically filmed by award-winning Jon and Andy Erwin of Erwin Brothers Motion Pictures, the 90-minute documentary is told through the eyes of 16-year old Joshua Phillips, exploring with his father the world Charles Darwin wrote about.
The Mysterious Islands feature a lavish display of exotic animals in their native habitat including 150-year-old tortoises, flightless Cormorants, Blue Footed Boobies, and an albino whale shark, all seemingly without a normal fear of man." -- REGINA SEPPI, New American

During the event, 4 full theatres were in use, and evenmet the maximum capacity. Many of the cast and crew attended the event, including The Vision Forum's founder,Doug Phillips.

"It’s the defining issue at the defining moment,” Phillips, who also produced the film."I said ‘we’ve got to go to ground zero.’ We’ve got to go to basically the Jerusalem of the evolutionary worldview.”

Phillips planned the expedition for 2009 due to the fact that this year there there are two key anniversary dates celebrated — the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth on February 12 and 150th anniversary of the original publication of his Origin of Species on November 24. In spite of mishaps, those gathered appeared to have enjoyed the film.
One of the viewers, 12 year old Markie Discher explained, "It was interesting. The animals were amazing! I loved the blue-footed-boobies!"
"The giant lizards were huge!" Chimed in Markie's 8 year old sister, Rose. "They were so interesting! It was amazing how Darwin didn't believe that God created all those!"
"I also liked the salt-sneezing iguanas." Markie added. "They are such a amazing example of God's magnificent creative creation!"

Waiting to be ushered in...

Awww! I love this one. :)

Granddaddy and Uncle Chris mingle

After the show, our group split up and some of us went to Steak N' Shake for supper.

The adults enjoy the delightful table, the soothing lights, the decorative floor, the comfortable chairs, and of course the lovely and astounding menu centerpieces.
Well....OK. I guess they are probably actually trying to decide what to eat, but the other explanation sounded so much nicer....unless you are starving I guess....

And here...we come to the...Childrens' Table!

Mumsie enjoying herself and taking time to flash a stunning smile at the camera.

Aunt Molly also takes time out of her busy menu-shopping to smile for us.
(Is it just me or are her eyes very blue in that picture??)

Good friends. We're going to miss ya'll when we leave!!!

Sarah my Glamor Sister gives us her Model Look as she saunters majestically around the room with her pint-sized pal, Pouting Paul.

Ah! The Old Days! Steak N' Shake in it's prime!
(Actually, I don't have statistics on that. Just another "Sound-Good" caption. :-D)

S'long, Folks!

That was a fun night, as well as spiritually uplifting! What a bounty of testimony the Creation reveals to the Creator if man would only seek Him with the whole heart!

And Steak n Shake has been a favorite, from way back in Indiana days!

Love,
Grandmother
