Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Two Down....Still Six To Go...

(See THIS LINK for title explanation...)

This year was the second in a long line of years yet to come. With God's help, the second Discher student - as well as the second student for Community Christian Academy - graduated, and began the next phase in her life!
Sarah worked hard and really pushed these last few weeks to finish the requirements laid out for her before gaduation, and on Sunday, October 11th, we honored her work during her graduation ceremony and the party afterwards!!
We are so proud of you, Lizzie!!!
Graduating with Sarah was Samuel Graves, who completed his requirements at the same time. So, a smaller ceremony for each was expanded into a nice big one for both! (plus, as Sarah says, she doesn't have to graduate alone! YEAH!)
Congratulations Sam!!!
Of course, there are plenty of pictures to remind us of this wonderful occasion! Here are a few of them for y'all to enjoy...

The announcments are (finally) ready to mail out...

The day has arrived!!

(Thank you Rachel and Mrs. Graves for the cakes!!!!)

The...uh...orchestra

(all together, we actually didn't sound bad.)

The audience awaits...

(Thanks, Mr. Franklin, for videotaping!)

And the graduates and thier honored parents enter!

Sarah, does it feel good to be finished with that Algebra? The sweet graduation ceremony blessed my heart. Your Mom had us all crying. I love that you gave the glory to the Lord and I am so thankful that you love Him. You are a beautiful young lady and I'm excited to see what the Lord has planned for your life. Ah, now, I wonder what it will be like in 2027 when Paul graduates? Sobering thought isn't it? Loved celebrating with you and Sam! May the dear Lord bless you as you seek His will.
Congratulations again, Love, Mrs. Stokes

It looks you had a fun graduation party. That Sam looks like quite a character. Is he a relative? I might be afraid to meet the "rest of the family" if we ever get the chance. LOL I'm just playing.

Good job, Sarah.

Beth, I'm sure you feel quite happy, too.

Sorry to be so late commenting, Sarah! Computer access is pretty limited up here in MO!

Sarah, it was such a special day. Your "speech" was so touching, and so were your mama and daddy's. And, Kitty, the "orchestra" was beautiful. It was a golden day. God bless you, sweet Sarah!

Love,
Grandmother and Granddaddy
