Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Once Upon a Time...

A little baby girl was born early, early one October morning. All the sweet ladies at the birth center loved her bright little eyes! She actually smiled as she was coming into this world! Her name was Markie and she was born on a special day.

To most people, this day was just an ordinary day, but you see, they didn't know... they didn't realize. This day was actually a very important day to one little girl. That little girl was named Gracie. You see, on that very same day, in that very same room, six years earlier, she was born! She just loved her birthday present, and even now these 2 special young ladies share so many things in common besides just their birthdays!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARKIE AND GRACE!

Maybe this picture will explain why we call her "Sparky Markie"!!!!!!

Markie is 12 years old today!

I loved my little butterball!

With her cousins. They are still inseperable!

Grace loves all things Medieval and Celtic
She loves to read Sir Walter Scott
Now she's become a beautiful young lady with such a sweet character and heart for children
Grace is 18 years old today!
We love you, Grace and Markie!

Oh, my heart, my heart! I am in tears! What precious remembrances of two wonderful granddaughters! They have become such beautiful women of God, but oh, how sweet to remember their early years!

Dearest Gracie and Markie! Hoping you have had a good day of commemoration. God has a wonderful plan for you both -- one that will use to the fullest all the considerable talents and gifts He has given you. I love you. (and bequeath you all my exclamation points!)

Love,
Grandmother,
who is a little shaken
at all the young adults
coming up in this family!!
(see, there is one
exclamation point for
each of you!)

Markie,

Como se llama?
Please forgive your Uncle Catfish.

I get you and Markie mixed up all the time. Markie is the tall one, and margret is the short squeaky one. Markie just sounds like it belongs to a short squeaky girl, and Margret sounds like a name for a tall girl. So you can see how I get you mixed up with Margret, I hope.

Happy belated birthday from the Franklin family. Of course, Sadie remembered it was your birthdays on your birthdate, but I am just getting around to checking out your blog. Please forgive me for my tardiness.
