Well, by God's grace, and lot of patience and perseverance, the first little student at the Discher household has completed her course of study!
Throughout the years, Kitty has excelled in her strengths, like History and her writing skills. In fact, one of her college professors (the author of the course textbook) complimented Kitty by saying that she had never had a freshman so well written and wondered how she came to write so well. Needless to say, this was very encouraging to Kitty. She has also learned to strengthen her weaknesses like Math and higher Science.
We thought this graduation card saying applied really well to Kitty!
Congratulations, graduate. You are now entering the "real world" - where no one really uses algebra! ha ha!
Well done, little Kitten! What a joy it has been to watch you grow in God's grace through the years! We are so proud of you!

Below are a few pictures of the simple ceremony and the fellowship afterwards. She was very blessed to have so many celebrate this time with her.
"The Father" speaks to his daughter
Ah, the moment we've all been waiting for!
Her sisters, brother (playing the upright bass in back) and cousins play "Sine Nomine" - "For all the Saints"
Kitty was blessed with many thoughtful cards and gifts
"Hey! Come on up! The view's great!"
Sisters...
Kitty just fits right in with Stricklens here, doesn't she?
TIME TO CELEBRATE!!!
I THINK SOME GOT INTO THE SPIRIT A LITTLE
MORE THAN OTHERS!

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses" is the Scripture that comes to mind as I look through these photos of the graduation. And what a beautiful crowd it is! And the intermitent "showers" no doubt added to all the festivities. (It caused a happy Margaret to sprout in any event!) And that fellow with the catanese crown looks quite pleased and contented in it all as well :) "...let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith..."
Congratulations Kitty! Good for you!
Hey...I know that game, Settlers of Catan! Our family got it for Christmas (with a 5-6 player extension pack) and we love it!
Kitty --
Your Graduation was so beautiful as were you -- radiant and glowing Christ's love after a job well done.
We love you and are very proud of you.
