"The Keeper of the Flame" as Grandmama calls him.
Our Great-Grandpa Harris and Uncle Bob (Brothers) were best buddies during their childhood and into their adulthood. Uncle Bob has a wealth of stories and pictures of each of his 11 siblings.
He allowed us to snoop around and look at all the old pictures and such. - so we did! We took pictures of pictures and videotaped the "artifacts" themselves (as Uncle Bob calls himself and his sisters)
(great-great) Uncle Pete, Great-Grandpa Harris, and (great-great) Uncle Bob
There were 12 children born to Great-Great Grandma and Grandpa HarrisHere is the Harris Clan minus George and baby Elizabeth (who died early on)Great Grandpa Harris is far left

This is what Uncle Bob does best--makes us all laugh. He has such a wonderful sense of humor and delighted us all with tales of him and Grandpa Harris and other...tales.

Here we are with Uncle Bob, Aunt Betty and their daughter Debbie
"Well, I'll tell you, that rumor was true. We did trade a smoked ham for circus tickets"
Sonny's is a great place for trading tales!
until...
dum de dum dum... drama...suspense...

"The evidence"
While we were rollicking in laughter inside, little did we know that "lewd fellows of the baser sort" had broken into our car and rifled through our belongings, swiping that which looked most promising. They got poor Sarah and Grace's purses with a fair amount of cash, a couple of personal bags with a lot of Grace's writings, as well as a couple of Bibles! (bet they didn't bargain on that one!) SO... we've prayed that the Lord will convict their hearts and work out His greater plan!
After Sonny's, off we went to see Aunt Mary Lee and more relatives who came out to visit and hear the kids play!

2 of Uncle Bob's daughters, Elaine and Debbie. They sweetly gave Sarah and Grace some spending money to offset what was lost.

Kitty and Peter talk with cousins Teri and Beverly. It was a sweet visit and we are so honored that they all came out to see us!

Kitty and "Uncle Bop" on the light rail
The next day (great) Aunt Benita and her daughter, Julie fixed us a nice home-cooked meal.
They had great fun with Emma Jane
Uncle Bob surrounded by gals - just the way he likes it ;)
