Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

It could have been blue after all...

Here is a picture of Markie with the sweet blanket she made the baby. I am proud of her. She worked hard to hand stitch the blanket binding around this cozy and, I might add, nuetral colored blanket!

A PRAISE REPORT!
Last week the midwife was concerned that the baby was breech. I was concerned as well, since I felt hiccups by my RIBS - not a good thing to feel at 39 weeks! So, I did my "exercises" over the weekend, worried and prayed a lot. Then, we went on Monday for a sonogram.
-------------------------------------
There we were, in the Dr's office, looking at this black screen with vague images that looked somewhat like a baby. It's hard to "find" the baby when it's so big! Well, the Dr. says right away, "The head's down alright!" "Praise God!" I said. We were so relieved. Well, then we saw something else. Could it be? Were we seeing things? After 16 years, is it possible?
YES!!! BABY GERHARD GUSTAF PAUL IS ON HIS WAY!
We were just on cloud nine!
So...all you who voted "boy" were right, but, for the record, I would have voted "girl" :)
We just wanted to share the good news and are praising the Lord that the baby isn't breech!

We were thrilled, too, to hear that Peter is going to have a brother! God is so good -- and we thank Him that everything is normal and ready for "delivery"! Now just to get a good head start on sleep in preparation for the big day (or most likely, night!)

God bless you, Bethie, and baby Paul.

Love,
Mother and Daddy

Praise the Lord!! That's wonderful hear! He always works things out, doesn't He? I'm so happy that it's a boy...I bet you all are just tickled blue! :) I know we were when we found out that little Samuel was a boy! Praying for the delivery that everything will go well.

God bless, looking forward to seeing pictures of your new little bundle of blessing!

What a relief to know the baby is in the right position. And a boy, too! With so many mammas around the house Baby Gerhard is going to be smothered with love.

I am so very happy for you all!!!
What a wonderful blessing from the Lord!
We have been praying ever since we found out you were going to have another baby that everything would go well. Especially Emilie, she has been asking God to 'keep that Discher baby safe' she has never forgotten once, she even prays for him at every meal too ;)

We love and miss ya'll,
Sadie

P.s. and yes that anonymous post on 'The Lawn Party' was me.
