Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Sweet Fellowship

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Ps 133:1

We are so blessed to have precious godly friends to fellowship with - both near and far. It has been our experience that the very best times happen when families visit families.
Here are some pictures from the last couple of months

Here are our friends, Debbie and Denny Wells with their son Seth. Our families spent a lot of time together when they lived here in Florida. They homeschooled their 5 children.

Debbie and Denny have an AMAZING testimony of how God brought Debbie from death's door with breast cancer (Hospice was ready to step in) back to life! God just keeps giving her more and more strength and healing more and more that was damaged!

Our extended family was so excited to hear their accounts of the ways in which God honored their faith in the face of a hopeless prognosis. They have such a sweet spirit!
Praise be to God!

Here is Eddie with his good buddy from Canada, Curt Stefaniuk. They go way back - over 25 years. It had been about 20 years since we had seen Curt and his wife Elaine.

What a blessing to visit with their family (They have 2 adult children as well) and realize that they are doing so much of the same type of farming that we desire to do. They raise Grass fed beef, free range chickens, etc, as well as home-schooled children that love the Lord!

We exchanged skunk stories ;) among others!

Here is our good friend, David Moore from Kentucky, where he and his family live in a remodeled barn and raise much of their own food! He is a godly homeschooling father of 15, and was down here on business. Eddie always loves spending time talking with David.

My good friend Tracy Graves and her family came out to visit before their loooong trip recently! She runs the grain co-op that we order from.

We love this fun family of 11!
Steve has a passion to relate ways in which we see God's Providential hand in our country's history. He and Tracy consistently incorporate this into their homeschool program.

Little ones to Him belong

Future Homemakers of America :)

Current Homemakers of America :)
Here I am with my good friend Le Bowen.
I love talking philosphy with Le.
She and her family of 9 live on 70 acres, homeschool, and love to do a lot of the same homesteading type of activities we do!

The men have good discussion.
I think I just heard the phrase..."too many regulations" :)

Rose and Kathryn enjoy each other's company

Precious girls who love the Lord and are strong, capable women (just ask Patricia about hunting, skinning, and canning her deer herself)
Not sure exactly what Grace is illustrating here (how to drop your peach pit into a glass of water?)

We always have such a great time with the wonderful Mahoney family, also homeschoolers

Talking about God's goodness, and the blessing of knowing He is leading us in these uncertain times. The Mahoneys are also attempting to homestead as much as possible.

Godly young men - future leaders.

Refreshments anyone?

We took the time to play a fun "parlor game" on the front patio.
Everyone wrote an introduction to the guest speaker at an event 20 years in the future. The "guest speaker" was the person next to him! We mixed up the cards, read the intros, and guessed who "the speaker" was! It was fun and interesting!
Here's one of the favorite "introductions"
Today you are to be addressed by an outstanding individual with an amazing life. You will be captivated by hair-raising stories. As you will see, our speaker has several features that give credit to the incredible work he has accomplished.
For example, notice the headful of hair, sticking straight up permanantly. This is from thousands of electric shocks. He is the inventor of the modern condensation driven cars, the wireless telegraph to space, as well as many more inventions
installed in his home. Please welcome inventor, electrician,
and great communicator... Peter Discher.

The girls exchanged Birthday gifts

Among them was an eyeball for Brianna.
She says she's about over her "eyeball phobia"
Aww...it was such fun to tease her!

The visit ended with good Celtic music

And dancing

ZIKES!!! A Sykes!
Josh is full of life!

He and Rosie had fun together

As did little Lizzie and Emma

Benjamin and Thomas work off some energy!

I think Victor enjoyed those cookies - a lot:)

Sweet friends and pen pals

The baby...

for about 6 more weeks!
Teresa and I are due at the same time!
This will be interesting :)

Men talking men stuff.
We so appreciate the Sykes family. They are raising their brood of (soon to be) 7 to love the Lord and have an excellent spirit. It's not easy to homeschool and keep up with "life" with this many young ones, but the Sykes do a super job. They already have "fruit that remains".
Praise the Lord for His people ... a godly remnant

What great pictures! Ya'll have had a lot of visitors lately!

The Wells' story of God's healing is beautiful, I bet it was wonderful to hear it first-hand!

Is the Curt on the blog the same Curt that Eddie came down with oh, so many years ago?

Love,
Katie

My goodness, Beth. You look so small. I always felt like a ship in full sail the last few months. How are you feeling?

Very nice photos of fellowship! I have to say take it all in before ya'll move, because there is not much fellowship out here of course besides getting together with the Miller's on occasion. I do miss all the fellowship there in Alturas after church services or birthdays, etc. Can't you tell I'm ready for some company! Hurry up now and get up here! Love ya'll,
Ashley

What a nice collection of pictures! And the visits that I was part of were so good -- sweet fellowship, indeed!

Ashley, we are trying to get the Dischers up there -- our loss, your gain! Lots of their friends and especially their family will miss them here, but . . . oh, well!

Thanks for the sweet memories, Beth, and the photograpic evidence of the blessing of the family of God!

Nice to see the social butterflies of the Frodge Clan are still goin' at it with the best of them! All kidding aside, I kind of miss all the old get togethers every once in a while. When did Mr. Moore come down? Can't wait till y'all move up here.

RG and Ashley, We will have to make lots of good times when we get up there. (whenever God's good timing is on that!)

Katie, Yes, that's the same Curt! So neat to see the direction God has taken his sweet family!

Elisabeth, thanks for the compliment, but I sure FEEL like a "ship in full sail"! I am feeling OK. Lots of heartburn which interrupts my sleep, etc. but my family's so good to me to let me sleep when I can.

Mama, glad you enjoyed the pics. God's family is so beautiful and diverse!

Love,
Beth
