Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

My Early Life

Grace Discher
Age 17

Tonight, you will hear about my early life, my regular habits, and my hobbies, as well as the stranger tendencies, which you might not even want to know. But I’m going to give them to you anyway, even if it is a little bit strange.

Hello! My name is Virginia Grace Discher, and I will be your guide on tonight’s memorable journey through the life and mind of myself.

I was born on October 14, 1991, at the Labor of Love in Lakeland, FL, as the 3rd child of Ed and Beth Discher. I had preceding me 2 sisters, Anna Kathleen and Sarah Elisabeth. They showered me with love, hugs, and kisses, which were very sincere, even if I was often knocked over in the process.

When I was around 1 and a half, God blessed our small family with my brother, Peter Edward. Like myself, the new baby was diligently attended to by his well-meaning, but overly expressive sisters.

My mother tells me (I can’t remember this myself), that around the age of three, I developed a necessary life skill which would become a lifelong hobby. Lookout the library. Grace Discher has learned to read!

By this time, I also had acquired 3 of my now 15 Frodge cousins, namely John Matthew, Caroline Susannah, and believe it or not, I can claim a relationship with that rising celebrity, Mr. Robert Graph Miller, the Second.

We now lived at our Grandparent’s house “Oakwood,” where many of my happiest, and earliest memories are located.

I remember very well, though he will deny it, Rg and I taking Rubbermaid containers, and a wooden plank, and hving the most marvelous adventures flying to Chucky Cheese!!! I had no earthly idea what it was, but Rg had been there, and he thought it was great, so we would loadinto our little airplane, (Rg as the pilot,) and we would fly off into that unknown land. That is very fun indeed.

I also gained a nickname around this time, which, while not altogether undeserved, has most unfortunately stuck close by me through the advancing years. I was wont to find an uninhabited room, and then pace the floor in a circle, while thumping my head and inquiring, of myself, “What am I thinking about?” Each word punctuated with a thump.
