"BABY BABY BABY"
There! I said it!
Here I am holding a beautiful baby quilt handmade by the precious Pollock girls. They put so much work into this.
My sweet Mama (grandmother of almost 24!!!) helps guide Markie in the job of notating which gifts were from whom.
Thank you everyone who came and made this wonderful event possible!
Love,
Excited Mama of #8!

Aww, I wish so much I could have been there! What a lovely baby shower and the picture of you and Molly was a great picture! Did ya'll play any guessing games or take bets on what you are gonna have? Those are always fun! We can't wait to meet the new precious Discher!
love ya'll,
Ashley
That was such a fun day! The Dischers and Molly and I stewed and fretted (not really) about how to get Beth there, dressed properly and with her hair done -- rather than in her "Asian pajamas", as Kitty says! We knew she would not forgive us!
So I asked her out for a late lunch, with the excuse of doing errands for Danny. We stopped at the post office first, to give the Discher girls a chance to get there and hide the truck. Then I "remembered" I had told Molly I would take something to Bartow for her, so we had to go to her house. Of course, all of this was arranged, so I wasn't lying -- I don't want to lie, even for a good cause!
When we got to the Stricklens, Beth made no effort to get out, so I said I needed to go to the restroom. Everyone was waiting inside . . . what to do?? How to get her to come in??
Mary called Beth from the house, and said Molly needed to show her something. Well, that did it! Was she surprised!! The vehicles were carefully hidden at the other end of the property, so she had no idea!
What a blessing to get together with women of God to celebrate the goodness of God and His sovereign control over the womb -- more blessings, more heritage, more rewards! (Psalm 127:3).
Sorry to write an epistle here, but it was so much fun reliving it! Wonderful shower, Molly!
Love,
Mother

What a fun day! I wish I could have been there, as well.
Pulling off a surprise party is so hard, I'm glad it actually worked!
Now Mama, you still owe Beth a late lunch in Bartow. I'm sure she will gladly take you up on it!
Love,
Katie
BTW, sorry for the double post! I DO NOT know how that happened!
Au contraire, mon daughter!! I just said a late lunch, and that's what this party was! There were chicken salad and tuna salad sandwiches, fresh crudites, chips and dip, lots and lots of good lunch stuff. And of course, that wonderful baby cake! I made sure nothing I said was a lie! I even really had to go to the ladies' room, although I did wait until after the "SURPRISE!!!".
Mother
The girls and I had so much fun planning this shower and hosting it. I am so glad it was such a surprise to you!
We are so happy for your family and praising the Lord that all is going well so far with the pregnancy. We look forward to meeting this precious new baby!
Love you all!
The Stricklens
Ashley, I wish you could have been there too! We didn't do any guessing games. Of course the obvious guessing game is...boy or girl? Thank for the compliment on the picture! Love you!
Mama, We know that you don't have a dishonest bone in your body. I did get my late lunch! It was sure creative how you all worked it out:)Thanks!
Thanks so much again, Molly and girls!
Love,
Beth
