Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Lawn Party

A few weeks ago, Mama and Daddy allowed us to host a lovely lawn party. I have always wanted to have one...Or at least ever since we watched "Summer Magic" with Haley Mills :)
What a splendid day it was! Here are a few (haha) pictures.
~Sarah~
"We are having a lawn party!!!"

Everyone had a ball dressing up!!

Light refreshments were enjoyed by all

Matthew Stevens and Gracie delighted us with speeches they recently gave at competition.

(Matthew gave his speech at the A.C.E. Regional Student Convention.
He did a great job and will be going on to Internationals)

A captive audience

"Make Dreams Real"(Gracie gave her speech at the Rotary speech contest. She expounded on the Founding Father's vision of a free nation that feared God, and her dream of reviving their vision)

We nicknamed Josh "Poirot" for the afternoon

Mama and Mrs. Waldman
The Waldmans treated us to some heavenly lemon ice cream!!
(Unfortunately, we did not get any pictures of the splendid "Homemade Ice Cream Table", but allow me to assure you., the quality served was such that would delight any ice cream connoisseur)

Aren't I an elegant lady?
(wearing my sister's hat!)

Oh, what a wonderful looking party! Every one dressed up so elegantly and English-y (I made that word up, if you hadn't guessed.)

The boys were absolutely distraught that they weren't able to dress in their finery for a "Lawn Party". You know how much they enjoy those type of activities! The groans could be heard all across the house.

Thanks for sharing such good pictures! Everything looked absolutely beautiful!

Aunt Katie

What a fun day. So sorry I missed it.

That first picture of Emma is the most adorable. I just LOVE it!

Chris with the ? on his head, soooo funny. I laughed and cried:)

The old fashioned looking pic of Ariana and Grace playing badmitton is so good and so are all the rest of the pics.

The one of the men on the lawn that traveled back in time was fantastic. Great job to whoever did the change.

There are so many great pics. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Love to all,
Mrs. P

Oh, my stars! I can't believe I neglected to comment! I guess it was because the post came up while we were traveling.

Anyway, what a wonderful day it was! Everything was just right, and I felt like I was transported back to "Summer Magic"! I thought Os Poppum might pop up at any moment!

Wonderful time, Dischers, and great memories through pictures.

Love,
Grandmother
