Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Our Christmas Season...BAKING

A first!
Sarah and the Strcklen girls got the "scoop" on Grandma's secret fruitcake recipe.
Her children make sure she makes them every year ;)
This year the girls got to help her!
I see fruitcake in the future...
Patient Grace helps the little girls make some Christmas cookies.
Uh Oh! Rosie! What's that I see?
(NO LICKING YOUR FINGERS)

Meet Mr. Yellow and Mr. Blue
When they work together they make Green.
Green is in high demand at Christmas time!

Oh YEAH!

The girls did some baking "just for us" and some for friends and family.
Their grandfather even commissioned them, along with their cousins, to bake packages of goodies for his engineering clients. He believes in inspiring an entrepreneurial spirit.
They took pictures of a few of their "products"

Snickerdoodles

Toffee

Pecan Bars

Baklava

Everyone's favorite...wreaths
Marble cake for their Daddy...an old German favorite that Oma used to make

Mama works on packaging up the goods

By the way -- beautiful pictures of the goodies. I guess Peter is not even a little embarrased by the picture of him scraping the bowl out with his fingers !?!?
I thought not!

What a mouth-watering post...everything looks scrumptious!(That's actually one of those words I dislike...like credenza, I don't know why I used it!) We enjoyed our little box of Florida sunshine way up here in frozen Arkansas!

Love,
Katie

As the recipient of some of those goodies, I can say they were truly "scrumptious" and maybe even "credenza"! Wow, did we enjoy them! The "Cousins Bakery" has a great future ahead of them!
