Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Our Christmas Season...Big Harris Family Get Together

Here's where it all began!
My grandmother (with my older girls)

Mother to 5, grandmother to 14, great-grandmother to 38
All of whom (to my knowledge) are joyfully serving their King!

My grandparents left a heritage of godliness for which
we can never be thankful enough.
Amazingly, by God's marvelous grace, and due to
His honoring of the spiritual investment made on the part of
my grandparents, out of the 16 marriages in the family, only
one has ended in divorce.

Almost all of us have been married for over 10 years,
with the older generations married for 30-40 years each.
My grandparents celebrated their 63rd anniversary shortly
before the Lord called Grandaddy home.

What a precious and inspiring legacy!
May we be faithful to carry the torch to future generations.
I hope this does not come across as boasting
in any way. It is actually so very humbling, since
I had absolutely nothing to do with having
been born into such a wonderful family.
It just hit me as I watched all of us sing
from our hearts, "Oh How I Love Jesus!"
that God has truly honored the hearts' desires
of my grandparents, and blessed their
"children's children", and even
"the children which should be born!"
All glory be to God!

A Florida Christmas always includes Citrus!
Every year my mother's family, the Harris Family, has their annual Christmas get-together on New Year's Day. This is always a large gathering, usually over 60 people. This year for various reasons, it was only 44.
My mother graciously hosts this event. This year was no exception, even though her knees were healing and she was wheelchair bound!
As many people observed this year, we don't know what the future holds, and we treasure times like these with our precious family members!

Cute little Jett
Sourrounded by his adoring fans

Aunt Sue and Uncle Sonny
My mother's sister and brother

My cousin Linda and her husband, Paul

Kitty and (the other) Beth,
- My cousin Jake's wife
and Jett's mommy!

My cousin Priscilla and her husband,
Jason with little Julia

My mother's 2 sisters, Sue and Jeanne
(her baby sister went to be with the Lord at 19)

Here's the Matriarch with Emma Jane

Susan - smiling as always
Uncle Sonny...well... he's not...

Uncle Biff
Praise the Lord for giving him
victory over cancer!

The entire family sings together!
BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks everyone!
My grandparents were always singing together
We recorded some of the songs they liked to sing!
We are trying to make a CD for the family.

The cousins sing together

The little cousins sing

Emma and Halee were really loving that microphone!

My mother, her sisters and her mother sing together

"Heaven Came Down and Glory Filled my Soul"
In 3 part harmony
This recording doesn't do the song justice.

Sarah, the faithful recording technician

Lots of precious "arrows"
for the future!

Thank you, Grandmama and Grandaddy!
Uncle Ron (Grandpa Whicker) with little Halee
"Let the Games Begin!"

The Fireworks Technicians
Trying our hand at "art nouveau"
(like the Thomases) ha ha

Excited kiddies!

"That can't be the last of them!"

We finished off the evening watching "Expelled"
A very enlightening movie

Callie and Grandaddy watch as some scientists
try to explain away the origins of the universe.

Beth, what a wonderful tribute to God's faithfulness to our family! And going back even further on both sides of my family, it is such a blessing to know of the generational faithfulness of God. Your daddy and I pray every day that the Lord will grow strong families through many generations -- and He will!

It truly was a wonderful day.

Love,
Mother

Congratulations on the news of the precious little addition that the dear Lord Jesus is "knitting" in your womb. When my Kelli was very small, she would say,"Mama, did Jesus really knit me together in your womb?" We love yall,

You all are making great memories. My dad's family always had get togethers and sang when I was small but they don't do it anymore. But it is a very special memory for me.

I love how your parents are so involved with the children. That's wonderful!

Thanks, Elisabeth. We are so blessed to have Mama and Daddy in our lives!

Sounds like you have a great extended family too! Family is so very important - and I believe that extended family gives our children a reference point beyond this generation.
