Every Christmas Season for, oh, about 23 years or so, my mother, my sisters and I have taken an excursion to "The Barn" antiques nearby.
Sweet Grandmama treats us all to lunch (talk about investing in the future!) and then we browse - always keeping in mind the reminder on the sign posted as we enter the door.
"Your husband called and said to buy whatever you want" ha ha
This sure doesn't look like a barn, but it really did start out in a refurbished barn, which is still being used. Gradually we have brought more and more ladies with us. This year all the girl cousins, Susan (Molly's mother in law), and Ashley came. We of course missed the 2 Arkansas Rachels - Katie and little Rachel Pearl.
Here the girls and Grandmama make grand plans to turn this bar into an ice cream parlor!
(you see, sometimes we are late)

Looks like a great time out with the ladies. I've never been to the barn, but it sure is a nice place.

The annual trip to the barn --without the two Rachels :(
The great announcement!!!! Congratulations!!!! I hope baby #9 actually arrives on your anniversary, then you can name her something cheesy like "Anna Versary" or " July Eleven" or "Rememberance".
Your Foolish As Ever Sister,
Katie
Thanks, Tina and Katie, for your sweet blessings.
Beth - I guess no-one reading your comment will "get it" unless they read your post on your blog! http://jacobandelizabeth.blogspot.com/2009/01/thanksgiving-2008.html
Katie, you are so funny. Honestly, if this is our 7th girl, we may just have to resort to those names, having run out of our own ideas. ha ha
Love,
Beth
