Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

It's been a year...

The whole family (Except Uncle Jay's family and Uncle Robert) by the Tercentennerary monument on Jamestown Island.

Ah! How time flies. . . It seems like yesterday that we were gathered, along with hundreds of other familes, on the shores of the James River, celebrating the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown. It was truly a joyous celebration, and a blessed time!
Our family participated in the Jamestown400 National Treasure Hunt. What an adventure in itself!!! We were part of the 100 to take part in the physical hunt for gold in Jamestown, and spent the first 3 days in a flurry of excitement. Deciphering codes, spending hours in libraries searching for little-known facts, roaming historic battlefields. We had late nights and early risings...terribly fun! Our family learned a lot about working together during that hunt. It is amazing how much a family can do when everyone pitches in and is of one mind, and how little they get done when that is not so.

Friday and Saturday were climax of the week-A grand celebration on the grounds of Harrison Tyler, grandson of President John Tyler. 4,000 people gathered there to learn of our godly heritage and remember the providence of God in the founding of our nation. There were speeches, reenactments, exciting Colonial music, sword fighting, and a children's parade. Also, we were privileged to watch the un-veiling of the Jamestown Children's memorial, a stone of remembrance to proclaim for generations to come the greatness of God in the founding of a Christian nation.

The entire weekend was an encouraging, uplifting experience. Everyone felt so safe. Attendance reached 4,000 people, yet there was no fear of letting children wander...people left their cars unlocked...people did not stare because you walked in with 8 or 9 kids. . . It felt like we had gone back in time 100 years!

There is hope for America!
I will never forget that week!!!! As long as these families continue to follow God’s vision for their families, we can reclaim America! We can return to the Godly roots we have stemmed from.

Mr.Morecraft was our guide on the Jamestown Island Faith and Freedom Tour. Excellent tour.

We got our picture with "The Moderator"of the hunt in front of the Rev. Hunt memorial.

You are so right, that was so wonderful, it was one of the best weeks of my life. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many people who love God and want to serve Him.

Are you going to be in Branson next month? We are hoping to be able to go so if we are both there I hope that we are able to meet.

Well, I would like to take issue with your caption for the first picture! The entire family was NOT there with the exception of Robert. Or maybe that was just a freudian slip and Ash, Savannah and I aren't part of the "real" family? Hmmmm?

Why, Jason, I can't imagine what you are talking about! Right there under the picture, it says "except Uncles Jay's family and Uncle Robert"!

Perhaps this post is a freudian slip and you don't really "want" to be part of the family. ha ha

"You have entered the Twilight Zone"

Really, Sarah feels so badly that she didn't list you all initially. I think she was rushing. She was thinking of Robert missing from the MILLER family. We missed you all being there - our family is never complete without you and your "girls"!

BTW - there will undoubtedly be another family picture in Branson. Will it be with Uncle Jay's family or not? That is the question!

Love you!
Your sister,
Beth

Oh, what wonderful memories those pictures bring! I'm sure there will be just as many in Branson. We are so excited that everyone (hopefully including the cosmopolitan Jason Frodge family) will be able to visit us!
Love,
Katie
