Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

More visitors!

"Events" are usually rather spread out, but the past couple weeks, we have had many visitors!
After church last Sunday, we were pleased to have Matthew, Daniel and Mike Powers come for the afternoon.
Catching up with cousins :)
"Dan the Man" with his shades...
(You left them here, by the way...Don't expect to get them back) :p
Playing "War"
Watch out for that fist!
Itchy fingers
 Who won, Matt?
Sweet Mama made a delicious chicken pot pie for dinner
 The Frodges brought dessert..Yummy!
That evening, the boys played "Big Buck Hunter"
Personally, I do not see the attraction to "shooting" at deer on the screen, and hearing the corny jokes made every few minutes...But the boys seemed to love it ;)
Don't get a doe, Mike!
Mama's little man
Mama's little big-shot ;)
A totally un-related, but pleasant picture. See y'all later!

Oooh, we are missing out on such good fellowship! Glad y'all are having such a great time this Spring. I know there is lots and lots of hard work in between that you don't post about, but good fellowship is always encouraging!

Love,
Grandmother

I know, the boys in this family just loved that game! It was so cute how William would converse with the voice on the game! And he thought the insults were SO funny (not realizing they were insults!)

Looks like some wonderful fellowship! Little Paul looks so cute with his big gun!

I love the cozy tea picture also :)

Love you all!

Hello! Found your blog through the Serven's. You mentioned the CHEF conference, and I was curious to see if I recognized your family...which I don't, but I'll be on the look-out for you at this year's Conference!
My parents are Canadian! :)
And the 3 oldest in our family, including me, were born there too.
Blessings to you!

Marjolaine,

Hello!

I'm glad you were able to find the blog, and hope you enjoyed it!!

So yall attended the CHEF conference last year? That's neat! Last year was our first year attending, and we enjoyed it very much! We hope to attend this year as well. It would be nice to meet you in person! :)

That's so funny about your parents being Canadian - and 3 of you being born there as well! Interesting. I always enjoyed my family's visit to Canada!!

In Christ,
Kitty for the Dischers

Thanks for answering my comment! Yes, we've been attending the CHEF conference for years! In fact, for the past 2 years, our family has had a booth there. We call ourselves ''Civil War...and More''
and here is a link to that blog:

Looking forward to maybe recognizing you at the 2011 Conference!

Have a great spring!
