Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Paul, being a big-shot, throwing chunks of ice into the creek ;)
 Yay!
Faithful Daddy and Peter, working the sawmill
 They have become very professional!

 ~~Snow Days!~~
We had several good days of snow. It was such fun for these former Floridians. ;)
Such a beautiful, white world!
Tracks in the snow..
Ok...I've bored you with enough scenery pictures ;)
Oops!! He saw me!
Boots in the snow... (Kind of obvious.) Can anyone guess whose boots? :)
Freddie heads out to see what's up with all the white stuff...
What is Rosie doing?
"Hmm...I gotta check this out."
"...Looks interesting..."

Aha!! They built a snow fort. The little girls were very diligent on it, and had lots of fun :)
They must have used up all the snow around it! (haha)

(This picture was obviously taken a couple days later)

Olive does not appear to be appreciating the snow
Or maybe she does not appreciate how late I was bring her in to milk ;)
The creek looked pretty, but the camera did not do a good job of capturing it.
The curious "Hairy Cows"
We just love our Scottish Highland cows.
They are very unique (obviously)
...Speaking of unique...

Charlie

Inside, out of the cold and snow, we were very cozy..and full!
Whole-wheat doughnuts and hot apple cider beside a roaring fire...Ahhh!
Some somewhat un-appetizing-looking pies. Blackberry and Wild Plum/Apple.
Once the snow began to melt...
The snow fort began to melt as well.
And...Pete just could not stand it any longer ;)

That's all for now.
Y'all come back!
(Have faith...we WILL post again) ;);)

Thanks for posting on the blog for the few of us "non-facebookers." ;)

Beautiful winter pictures. The snow looks so...foreign. :)

Oh and your Highlands are adorable, by the way!

Have a blessed weekend,

That's very funny about the skirt, Marjo! BTW - We realized that Markie had bought a book from your booth last year!

Have a great day!
