Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Yes! That's My Sweet Mama!

Yep! That's my Little Mama! Isn't she cute?

Here she is back when she first captured my Daddy's heart

She's always been so feminine and beautiful
She's always been dedicated to serving her family and her husband. She supported my father, taking care of the home, typing and editing his papers, and learning along side him while he earned his Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Doctorate in Education. She went on to earn her own Master's in Education.

And she's always been passionately in love with her husband
They're still going strong!
My Mama with her Mama, I thank God for my godly Grandmother having raised my mother to be the wonderful woman of God that she is.
Always ready for a little fun!
Especially if it's with her family
At the Beach-house - an annual family outing for a while

We love to play games with Mama - especially Rook, Cranium, or Scrabble
She has used the many talents God has given her and wisely invested in the next generation.
Like writing and producing plays and creating the costumes - even when the stick-in-the-mud Mamas thought it was too much trouble! She's all about making memories.
Faithfully there for the kids' performances - so proud of them

I can't even begin to count the hours of work she has spent with the children in musical training, editing papers, theological discussions, helping in various Science projects, art projects, and much much more!
She loves to take time with the younger ones
She loves to love on those babies!
She has been present at so many of the births of her grandchildren - no matter what time of day or night, she's there!

She loves creating family traditions - like going to the Barn Antiques every year with the ladies of the family

And hosting a 16th Birthday Tea Party for each granddaughter as in this picture

Most of all she loves to be home with her family around her
Or outside with them - like here where we all picked berries together
She absolutely loves celebrating Christmas with her family - On Christmas Day!
She begins months in advance finding that perfect gift for each grandchild. How she does it I don't know!

She's there for as many birthday parties as she can - with just the right gift!
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Pro 31:25-28

I sure do love and miss you, Mama!
Happy Mother's Day!

This post absolutely defines our wonderful mother, and the pictures that are posted are a perfect compliment. She is definitely everything you mentioned, and much, much more! Thank the Lord for our faithful, beautiful mother!

NOTE: There were no pictures of your mother's third child in the above mentioned post. Just thought you might want to know that.

Thanks, ya'll. I am glad you enjoyed the post.

Katie - I was in a hurry and the older pictures weren't on the computer. Some were on a hard drive and some were on discs so it was challenging finding any but ones from the last couple of years.

I found one of us girls with Mama. I think it's very nice. Love you!

Beautiful, beautiful tribute. What a true blessing a good momma can be and your mom is absolutely a gem. She must have boundless energy to keep up with all the traditions she's started. I hope I am that way when I have grandchildren.
