Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

A Wonderful Mother's Day

A Pre-Mother's Day cleaning!
Knowing what would very much please their mother, on Saturday, Sarah and Grace decided to paint the front porch, with Markie cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, and Rosie pitching in. Kitty took on the huge task of cleaning the back porch, which included oh, years maybe, of cobwebs!
Thank you, girls!!!
Peter sweetly gave up his Saturday to help his Daddy finish up a job! Bless you, Peter!

The next day Eddie and Peter started up the grill and cooked up about 25lbs of chicken. It was delicious, smoked and barbequed! Thank you!
The girls fixed a wonderful breakfast of waffles, bacon, cantaloupe, and fresh orange juice...perfect!!! Thanks, girls!
After church we all went out (with chicken and baked potatoes in tow) to the Stricklens to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

"They shall rise up and call her blessed..."
Here my grandmother Harris fellowships with her grandaughters and great-grandaughters (and sweet Susan!) around the table as grandmothers have done for centuries. What a precious godly woman my grandmother is. She has always been the epitome of propriety and gracoiusness. What a blessing to be able to watch her live out the guidelines for womanhood given in Ephesians 5:22. She showed us that joyfully submitting to our husbands and supporting his vision is a fulfulling and rewarding role indeed!

We played one of my mother's favorite games...croquet

Kitty joined us and WON the 1st game!

Emma tries her hand at it

Daddy joins in the game..and wins the 2nd game!

The price of winning

Peter, the inventor, came up with yet another way to have fun

"Hey! This wind's pretty powerful!" Hmmm....

What can you do with an old tarp, some rope (always handy) and the "baby's" wagon?

"Hang on...!"

"I'm comin' through!"

"AH...a satisfying venture" They even got it to pull the golf cart. Hey!! "alternative transportation" Wind power! ha ha

That was a wonderful day, wasn't it? It is always a joy to have Grandmother Harris join us on these special occasions -- God has so blessed us to have her with us still.

And those creative little adventurers! That wind power was truly amazing! Now, I have to get over and see this wonderful spruce-up job -- I had no idea so much was going on on Saturday! Good job, Discher youngin's!

Love,
