Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Beach, Baby and Berries!

For my Mother's Day gift, my sweet husband took us to a beach on Tampa Bay

It was pretty secluded as far as beaches in Florida go!

I think the fact that it was quite windy when we arrived had something to do with that :)

The kids loved the choppy waves!

Daddy and Emma spending some time together

I got out of the water when this visitor greeted us!

A Horseshoe Crab (so the kids tell me - I wouldn't know. All I know is it's in the ugly classification of God's creatures!)

6'1, but he still plays in the sand :)

Sissies

Emma Jane thinks she's got it made!

Here she tries to share with the sea gull (or whatever those obnoxious birds are)

I really like this picture of SarahBeth

By the time we left...

It was quite peaceful!
It was a wonderful afternoon!

When we got home, the children surprised me with this gift.
2 seasons of Agatha Christie's Poirot - one of my favorites!
Hearing that sweet little heartbeat!
All the girls went with me recently to hear the baby's heartbeat.
I love the look on Rosie's face here!

"Do you hear that? It's the new baby!"

My midwife, Marianne and me

BERRIES!
Yum! Blueberries!
(She looks like a professional picker here)

They were so abundant and delicious!

I think Markie ate as many as she picked :)

Here our entire church body decided to go blackberry picking out in Mama and Daddy's woods after church.

We all brought lunch
(Well, we scrounged up some lunch)

Daddy time

Pete with the Waldman boys
They really had to work for these wild berries

But it was worth it!
(Yes, this picture is posed, but they did work hard. When I was trying to get a picture of them picking, Margaret Anne says, "Come on Rosie, let's just pose for it." She know the drill!)

Mmm...mmm...good
Another posed picture

The great outdoors is a great place for great discussion!
This one wasn't posed, though.

Heading back to the house!

I just love the first picture with you and Emma, precious! Those pictures of the beach make me long for Florida so bad, I miss the beach, alot! Such a sweet picture where you were listening to the heartbeat, words just can't describe those special moments.
Thanks for sharing.

Love,
Ashley

What great pictures! The one at the birth center was just so special. I'm sure it will be a favorite for a long time.

The beach looks great! The pictures with the palm trees make me miss Florida, too!

Katie

Beautiful beach pictures! I like the one of Sarah as well.

Sweet memories at the Birthing Center. There are nothing like those times, are there? They are very special memories imbedded in a Mother's heart forever.

We had fun picking blueberries and blackberries also. I can't wait to have enough of our own to harvest in our own back yard!
I'm glad the kids came up with the scheme (I mean idea!) for the picnic/berry pickin'.

Love you all lots!
Molly

Sweet pictures, Beth! I love the first one with you and Emma -- I guess being black and white, it reminds me of pictures of my parents at the beach with me when I was a baby!

And oh, what memories of the birthing center! Guess it's time to dig out those special Scripture passages, huh? God bless you, little Mama, as you prepare for this sweet little one's arrival!

Love,
Mother
