Within the confines of this little cyber-world, you will encounter mind boggling facts (doubtful), side splitting humor (more doubtful), artifacts of great historical significance (we have a lot of old family photos to bore you with), and maybe you will even come across some genuine German/Canadian stuff

(Got your curiosity up, eh?!?)

Of the nine in this family, I am the Canadian. I am out numbered 9 to 1 by Americans. The odds are still in my favor. I am after all, "The Father." Join me on our wonderful journey.

Our lemons are abundant this season

A staple this time of year...we are so thankful for fresh picked citrus!

Uncle Hans' Christmas gift to Sarah -- a movable chicken coop!

AN OLD TIME CANE SQUEEZIN'

Every year one of Grandaddy Frodge's contractor friends has an old time cane syrup making event. They pick the sugar cane, grind it with an "iron mule", to squeeze the juice out of it, then they boil it down to syrup, which takes about 6 hours.

This year they asked the Frodge clan (and friends) to come and asked the children to play some bluegrass...so we did! It was a great experience!

Boiling down the juice into syrup

Our host and hostess cooked up sausage and biscuits over an open fire... just like in the old days!

"FROM SAND TO SOD"!!!
For Christmas Uncle Hans gave our family the gift of sod...installed! What a blessing it has been! In Florida sand tends to be abundant and well... it was...in the house...in the yard...in the tub....you get the picture.

Now we have sod!!! What a transformation! THANK YOU UNCLE HANS!!!

Preparing the ground...Uncle Hans spent days hoeing and raking. The children helped also, but Uncle Hans was incredible!

All ready!
